Can I bring a guest/date?
If your guest name is listed on your invite and when you RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guest. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation.
We would love to keep the wedding as intimate as possible with close friends and family.
Are kids invited?
Although we would love to include the children of all our friends and family we decided to keep our wedding and reception an adult-only event. The only exception is the children in our immediate family and bridal party. We hope you understand & enjoy a night off! We can't wait to celebrate with you!
What is the dress code?
We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! We are requesting semi-formal dress code for our wedding. Dress to impress! We want all our guests to feel their best! Please no white clothing.
Are there any colors the guest should avoid wearing?
We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride-whites, ivories and creams.
Semi-formal attire for men
Semi-formal for men typically includes a suit and tie, often with a dress shirt. While a tie is customary, it is optional. No full tuxedos are required. Dressy casual look is appropriate. Collard shirts can comfortably find their place in a semi-formal dress code. Preferably no jeans but dark jeans and chinos are allowed. No sneakers preferred. We realize it is a summer wedding and we want you to feel comfortable.
Semi-formal attire for women
No full-length formal gowns are required. Opt for knee length or tea-length dresses. Women can also opt to wear a dressy pantsuit or dressy separates. Ladies please keep in mind this is an outdoor wedding so stilleto's are not recommended. The main thing is that I want you to feel comfortable.
Will the ceremony take place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be indoors and the reception will be outdoors as weather permits.
Where is the ceremony?
The ceremony will be located in the chapel on property. The chapel will be air conditioned. The ceremony and reception is located at the same venue. Guests will check-in inside before heading to cocktail hour before the wedding.
Where is the reception?
The reception is being held outdoors as long as weather permits but will be moved indoors if it rains. But, the chances of rain is highly unlikely. We know it's in the middle of summer but we chose an evening reception to help keep you as cool as possible. Inside the venue is air conditioned. The reception area will be all open for the evening. It has an outside/inside feel. The layout of our venue is very open and spacious. The bar and buffet area is located inside as well as the bathrooms. While all our tables and chairs will be outside. We will have lawn games for entertainment before the ceremony and seated patio furniture for guests to lounge on during cocktail hour.
Is there parking on site?
Yes, free parking will be provided on site in a gated parking lot. Feel free to car pool and please uber if drinking.
What time should I arrive?
Guests can start to arrive at 4:30pm. The wedding will be begin promptly at 5 o'clock, Please arrive early to park, grab a welcome beverage then be seated for the ceremony.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests will be directed to the area near the reception for cocktail hour where they will be serving hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Guests can enjoy entertainment.
Will there be a bar?
Yes, there will be an open bar. We will have select wines, beers, specialty cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages for our guests to choose from.
Food restrictions
We will be serving a wide variety of food. We will have a buffet style menu that provides options for vegans and seafood options for pescatarians.
Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you do not have your phones and cameras out during the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will be capturing the ceremony, and we do not want any phones in our photos!
Can I post pictures of the wedding on social media?
We would appreciate if all photo and video were not shared until the day after the wedding. We hope everyone will be present and too busy enjoying the day to post anything!
Is there a gift registry?
No, we do not have a gift registry. We chose to have a honeymoon fund.
As we look forward to celebrating our wedding with you we realize we have all the "stuff" we need to start our new life together.
Your presence at our wedding is a gift in itself, but if you feel inclined to give more, please contribute to our honeymoon fund located under the registry tab. We will also have a card box at the wedding. Mahalo for being a part of our special day.
Where are you going on your honeymoon?
We plan to visit multiple countries in Europe next year. We're taking a break from the planning stages and decided to go on our honeymoon the following year. After the wedding, once all our family members and friends return home we will be getting away for the weekend as newlyweds. We will be leaving the following weekend after the wedding and flying to the Big Island. We will be staying at The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort for the weekend to getaway as husband and wife.
Will there be a after party after the wedding?
Yes, due to noise restrictions at our venue we will be having an afterparty. Following the reception we will be going to the Lobby Bar - LBLE Lounge located in the Hilton Waikiki Beach hotel at 2500 Kuhio Ave Honolulu, Hawaii 96815. The Lobby Level bar overlooks the Garden Terrace and features live music.
